Day Break

So here she is, Day Break. Let me tell you, the four of us have NEVER been faced with such a difficult decision. We actually had to take on a fifth person just to break the final tie. One thing I didn't expect was four people submitting the same idea. Yes, Sunfire is a great name, but it's just too close to Spitfire, and this OC already looks enough like her, I guess.

One thing I want to say to all of you is thank you for not suggesting something as overused as "Blaze" or whatever.

But in the end, Crimenatus had the favorable idea. This user submitted a few sun-related names, which got us thinking about her color scheme. Kind of resembles a sun rise. You know when the clouds become a spectrum of light reds and pinks? That's what this name made us think about. Of course this left me to think of a CM, so I got lazy toward the end of the drawing and just modified some clip art from google. I'm not perfect, and it works. I also like Crimenatus' idea of Dawn, so I like to think that it would be her nickname, considering both terms mean the same thing.

Her personality? Day Break isn't a very sociable mare. In fact, she hates the idea of being around other ponies. She's critical, cynical and rather moody. While she isn't a fan of most things the modern world has to offer, she does love one thing: her job. Day Break is a high-ranking Weather Pony, in charge of decorating every single sunrise. This is her special talent, arranging the clouds in such a way to start off every day with a beautiful vista.

There were some amazing ideas that came in, and I appreciate every single one of them.
